It is no more news that some parents discourage their wards from involving in anything that relates to Cryptocurrency or Blockchain tech. This is indeed a rampant lacuna.
Little wonder the presence of Mr. Kokou Messie and his kids caught the attention of attendees at the just concluded Blocktech Women Conference (#BwcAccra19), Kofi Annan ICT Center, Accra-Ghana.
The Women’s Conference was organised by Blockchain African Ladies(BAL), an organization that unites African Women via Blockchain Education.
“I work for a financial institution. We received a mail recently on the big trends that are coming. And the trends tilts towards Blockchain Technology. I decided to bring my children so they learn, ask questions and build on what they learnt,” Kokou tells eBlockbuzz.
Per a conversation with 10 years old Emmanuel Kwame Messie, one of Kokou’s children, he said that the conference gave him the opportunity to understand the definition of Blockchain and its importance.
“I want utilise the Blockchain tech to solve problems around road damage, water and food storage.” Concludes Emmanuel.
