We are happy to announce the winners of the Everlaw Blockchain for Lawyers 101 Essay Competition 2019.
Sponsored by Everlaw Foundation, this essay competition challenged interested lawyers to write a 500-word essay about ‘Why Blockchain Matters to Lawyers’.
From the entries received, the following contestants are the winners:
1. Chinyere Ossy-Okoye: Winner, First Prize: N60,000 ticket
2. Wisdom Uduchukwu Obilor: Winner, Second Prize: N30,000
3. Victoria Osuagwu: Winner, Third Prize: N30,000
4. Ruth Mojisola Aiyegbusi: Winner, Fourth Priize: N30,000
The winners were selected based on four major score points:
+Understanding Blockchain: Level of understanding of what blockchain technology is;
+Appreciating Blockchain Application to Law: Level of appreciation of how blockchain applies to law. Awareness of the various legal problems that may be solved with blockchain;
+Comprehension: Level of clarity, concision, and comprehensiom of the contents; and
+Scholarship: Level of knowledge and awareness about the emerging blockchain industry.
The First Prize Winner, Chinyere Ossy-Okoye, was trilled to receive the news of her victory:
“I am extremely thrilled! I confirm that I am utterly available for the programme. I assure my maximum participation and optimum utilization of the benefits of this programme.
